Who's Next?
Who's Next? is a television talk show aimed at promoting safer sex and sexual health among Zimbabwe's urban youth. Its objective is to get young people discussing issues of family planning and reproductive health. The show currently reaches 700,000 viewers.
Communication Strategies
Who's Next? aims to be entertaining and informational. It centres on the issues that affect young people generally and personally, including peer pressure, counselling, HIV and communication between parents and young people.
Instead of being held in a studio and taped in front of an audience, the show "barges in" on the youth wherever they are gathered. Interviewers arrive on the "scene" and question youth on their activities. Once the youth are engaged, the talk show host weaves into the discussion positive health and HIV/AIDS prevention messages.
