Sexual and Reproductive Health of Women Living with HIV/AIDS

This publication addresses the specific sexual and reproductive health needs of women living with HIV/AIDS and contains recommendations for counselling, antiretroviral therapy, care and other interventions.

Primarily meant for national-level programme planners and managers responsible for designing HIV programmes and comprehensive sexual and reproductive health services for women, this publication may also be a useful resource for health care workers involved in efforts to improve the sexual and reproductive health of women and to provide treatment and care for women living with HIV/AIDS. It is part of a series of modules developed by the World Health Organization (WHO) and its partners comprising guidelines on care, treatment and support for women living with HIV/AIDS and their children in resource-constrained settings. WHO will regularly review the evidence base for these guidelines and issue updated recommendations when warranted by new information.
