International Green Awards
The International Green Awards look to recognise organisations that have exhibited leadership and innovation in their sustainability approach and those organisations that have embedded sustainability in all aspects of their agenda. The awards intend to showcase examples of creativity in business, citizen and government initiatives leading to sustainable outcomes. This year, the Smarter Business platform will from the basis of the competition assessment. By objectively assessing an organisation’s sustainability strategy using 8 key indicators - energy, water, waste, resources, carbon, supply chain, transport and social, the Smarter Business platform provides a standard scale of reference to benchmark sustainability performance.
Organisations can enter 1 of 6 categories this year based on size and status, each of which will be evaluated against the 8 indicators. Participation is free and each entry will be given feedback on current strengths and future areas of opportunity to enhance their future sustainability performance.
