HIV/AIDS through a Contemporary Lens
Red Hot +US invites the current generation of young artists to fight HIV/AIDS through creating a video using at least one song from Red Hot tracks on the contest website. Red Hot+Us is lending its music to young filmmakers who submit an HIV/AIDS short film, music video, or public service announcement created on a camera, iphone, android, etc. Entries must address HIV and/or AIDS either overtly and/or thematically and must include at least 1 song from the RED HOT music library. (A complete list of songs available for download can be accessed on the Listen page of the website in the application information.)
The contest is open to all filmmakers, age 17-29. Participants may submit more than 1 entry. However, no more than 1 entry per category will be selected as contest finalist. The contest is open to United States (US) and international residents; however, international winners cannot be guaranteed travel to New York City, US. A cash prize will be awarded.
CATEGORIES
- SHORT FILM: No longer than 10 minutes in length.
- PSA (Public Service Announcement): Must be either :15, :30, :60 or :90 seconds in length.
