Whose Children? Separated Children's Protection and Participation in Emergencies
The major focus of this book is on fostering, in its many manifestations. It discusses what it really means to be separated from the family and what is urgent to put on the agenda to better fulfil separated children's rights."
The book involves and analyses girls' and boys' own perceptions with children themselves as first hand sources. It is based on six specially commissioned case studies (all with strong emphasis on participatory research methods) and one literature study, with information also drawn from several other studies undertaken by partner agencies.
