Limitations of the Study [Reproductive Health and HIV/AIDS Prevention Campaign]
Summary
There are several limitations that I foresee in this study:
- The participant observation method I intend to employ is very time-consuming and expensive. However, coupling up with an ongoing donor assisted project should considerably lower my costs.
- Measurements in this study seem not to utilize a standard research tool. My intention here will be to interpret and explain rather than predict and account for variance (Reinard, 2001).
- Being a native of the community I intend to study, there is the risk of becoming over identified with the group. This will be hard to totally overcome but as a prudent researcher, I intend to be very careful from the onset of the project.
- This study, like all naturalistic studies will not on its own provide any comprehensive conclusion. However, through combinations with other later studies or many different sorts of data, it should hopefully be able to appropriately inform the communication discipline.
