The Regional Technical Advisory Group (RTAG) was established to provide leadership for poliomyelitis eradication activities in the remaining polio-endemic countries and to advise Member States of the United Nations (UN) on other technical issues, as the World Health Organization (WHO)'s Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean (EMRO) approaches polio-free certification, including those related to immunisation policies after certification.
