Health Communication Capacity Collaborative (HC3) Innovation Webinars

The Health Communication Capacity Collaborative (HC3)' s Innovation Webinar series is designed to spotlight a broad range of health communication innovations while providing a meaningful mix of theory and practical examples from across the globe. Strengthening developing country capacity to implement state-of-the-art social and behaviour change programmes is at the heart of HC3’s mission, and the webinar series works to help achieve this objective. Moderators and presenters are drawn from academic, public, and private sectors working worldwide in the field of behaviour change communication.

- Innovation Webinar 15: Data Visualization: A Tool for Effective Health Communication - explores how data visualization can be used to convey impactful and compelling evidence that influences behavior change and improves program performance by presenting data in ways that are both visually appealing and easy to understand.

- Innovation Webinar 6: Social Drama and Health Communication - focuses on utilising social drama for effective health communication. Presentations and demos provide the audience with foundational insight into social drama techniques and theories and their application to health communication.
- Innovation Webinar 5: Behavioral Economics - presenters focus on defining behavioural economics (BE) and how it interacts with the field of SBCC. BE is a discipline that uses insights from psychology and neuroscience to provide a deeper understanding of human decision-making and actions than standard economic reasoning does. By identifying, understanding and tackling the behavioural factors that prevent development programmes from being as successful as they could be, BE can help improve programme implementation.
- Innovation Webinar 4: Youth Campaigns - focuses on the design and implementation of health behaviour change campaigns targeting youth. Presentations and demos give the audience foundational insight into the nuances of developing campaigns targeted at youth and examples of innovative campaigns that have successfully disseminated messaging on health behaviours in fun and interactive ways.
- Innovation Webinar 3: Gaming - presentations and demos give the audience foundational insight into the theories behind gaming and also highlight innovative ways games can facilitate health communication and improve health outcomes.

- Innovation Webinar 1: Social Networking - looks at how health communication is enhanced by social networking and social media. In addition, an interactive discussion segment gives a glimpse into the future of the interplay between social networks and health communication.
