Enlisting the Armed Forces To Protect Reproductive Health and Rights [CD-ROM]: Lessons from Nine Countries
SummaryText
From the back of the CD-ROM case:
This CD-ROM presents lessons drawn from nine country case studies [Benin, Botswana, Ecuador, Madagascar, Mongolia, Namibia, Nicaragua, Paraguay and the Ukraine] where UNFPA has worked with a major employer - the military - to reach out to men and provide them with reproductive and sexual health information and services, including HIV/AIDS, and promote reproductive rights and gender equity. UNFPA hopes this information will stimulate debate, enhance future programming and increase international cooperation to enlist a critical partner in peacetime and conflict situations to promote reproductive health and rights and gender equity.
The interactive menu on the CD-ROM includes case studies; a summary of policy and programme lessons; a full report that includes a comparative analysis of the findings and an overview of changing global and national contexts; a set of rapid assessment tools; and printable versions of all documents.
The information available on this CD-ROM can also be accessed online on the UNFPA website.
